Wild Things, a Chicago Wilderness Conference for People and Nature
Saturday, February 7, 2009 8:30 – 4:30
University of Illinois at Chicago

Registration is now open for this gathering
of our regional nature conservation community.
Wild Things will feature the region's best conservationists in a variety of large and small-group sessions drawn from real-life experiences with everything from the nitty gritty of habitat management, botany, and zoology to advocacy, education, art, culture, history and backyard and neighborhood ecology. From the technical to the interactive, this will be a great day for anyone who likes nature, gardening, conservation, restoration or who cares about the environment.

Doug Ladd, Director of Conservation Science, Missouri Field Office of The Nature Conservancy, will be the keynote speaker and share his reflections – inspirational, humorous, and a little philosophical – from his many years of experience in natural areas management.

Early registration cost is $27; early registration is now open and end on January 26. Registration and conference information can be found on the Habitat Project web site at www.habitatproject.org. For questions, contact chicagowildthings@yahoo.com or tel. 847.328.3910 ext. 21.
